THE FILM

What began as a documentary about the Galway Film Fleadh became something more—a journey through regional film festivals and the wonderfully eccentric world of TC Rice. It is a story about filmmakers, festival makers and the people who sweat blood to bring movies to audiences the way they were meant to be seen: on the big screen.

THE STORY

THE MAN

TC Rice grew up in motion—18 schools across five continents and territories, often arriving in the middle of the year. Movies became a constant in an otherwise unconventional childhood. What began with childhood heroes eventually became a lifelong relationship with cinema and a search for the place where he truly belonged.

THE CIRCUIT

That search led TC into the wonderfully unpredictable world of regional film festivals—places where filmmakers, programmers, volunteers and audiences come together around a shared belief in movies. From festival to festival, Lost Marbles discovers a community held together by friendship, eccentricity and an enduring love of the big screen.
